The Newberg Community Band was founded in 2006 by Maestro Richard Elliott. Mr. Elliott is a long time fixture of the Newberg community, having been the Newberg High School band director for 30+ years. Upon his retirement from NHS, he joined the faculty at George Fox University as the Associate Director of Bands.
